New Leaders Appointed for International Working Groups

The Shambhala Office of Societal Health and Well-being is delighted to announce leadership changes in several of the international working groups, including Families and Children, Aging, Accessibility and Disability, and Touching the Earth. Each of these working groups offers guidance and support to Shambhala Centres related to their topic areas, and also assists in developing international guidelines and initiatives.
The new chairperson appointments are:
Families and Children's Working Group -- Cathy Conlin, Boulder
Working Group on Aging -- Andrea Sherman, New York City
Accessibility and Disability -- Stefan Carmien, Spain
Touching the Earth (environmental sustainability) -- Joel Shecter, Toronto
Shastri Charlene Leung will continue as Chairperson of the Diversity Working Group, and Sophie Maclaren continues to lead the Young Sangha Working Group.
Deep gratitude for their years of excellent service is extended to the chairpersons who are stepping down, having completed their term limits. This includes Susan Williams (Families and Children), Hamish Maclaren (Accessibility and Disability), David Whitehorn (Aging), and Elizabeth Kanard (Touching the Earth).
