The Dana Group
The Dana Group was formed to stimulate creative thinking about how best to strengthen the funding of the Shambhala mandala as a whole in order to support further the development of enlightened society. We have monthly conference calls and occasional in-person meetings to discuss fund-raising campaigns, planned giving, teachings on generosity and ways to promote generosity in the sangha. The Dana Group is a team of people with fund-raising and financial experience with the aspiration to invigorate all aspects of giving in our community.
We can afford to open ourselves and join the rest of the world with a sense of tremendous generosity, tremendous goodness, and tremendous richness. The more we give, the more we gain - although what we gain should not particularly be our reason for giving. Rather, the more we give, the more we are inspired to give constantly. And the gaining process happens naturally, automatically. -Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche
