Donating to Shambhala

Last year, at the Sakyong's request, a matching gift campaign by The Sakyong Foundation helped wipe out Shambhala's operating debt. The $250,000 pledge inspired an increase of over $14,000 in new monthly contributions and $150,000 in one-time gifts from people all over our mandala. That campaign, plus an auspicious bequest, means that Shambhala's Core Services are now completely free of operating debt and able to provide increased services to the sangha at large.

Shambhala Centres and groups throughout the mandala are to benefit from a new $200,000 matching grant campaign being launched by The Sakyong Foundation.

Enjoy a video by President Reoch explaining the significance of this wonderful new campaign.With the enthusiastic support of Shambhala's leadership, The Sakyong Foundation is now offering a new matching grant campaign aimed at strengthening local Shambhala centres and groups worldwide.

For every $1 given as a new or increased recurring monthly donation to your local Shambhala centre or group, $10 will be added by the Foundation as a one-time grant. The success of this campaign will result in a total of $20,000 in additional recurring monthly donations and another $200,000 in one-time grants distributed to participating centres and groups in our global mandala.

Now that Shambhala core services is free of its operating debt when you give a recurring or one-time donation every dollar goes towards helping support a host of initiatives, core services, program planning, curriculum development, and more.

  • support for small groups with few teachers, and groups in remote locations worldwide
