Chief of Staff of the Sakyong Ladrang, Joshua Silberstein

Joshua Silberstein, Thapke Druk, Skillful-means Dragon, received a double major in Philosophy and History of Mathematics with minors in Languages and Science from St. John’s College Annapolis, MD in 1994. In 1998 he stumbled upon the Burlington, VT Shambhala Center and its delightful and quirky community. Initially participating in classes and Shambhala levels, Mr. Silberstein eventually became a member of the leadership council.

His work for the Sakyong started in 2002 when Mr. Silberstein held the leadership role of Rusung at Karme Choling. In 2004, he became the Attache for the Sakyong. When that assignment was completed in 2006, Mr. Silberstein served as the President of the Kalapa Group in charge of global projects and for a brief period as the Secretary of the Kalapa Council. The Sakyong subsequently appointed him to the position of Chief of Staff of the Sakyong Ladrang and asked him to serve in that capacity as a full member of the Kalapa Council.
