Shastri Otto Pichlhöfer has been a personal student of the Druk Sakyong Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and is a student of the current Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. He is a teacher in the Shambhala Mandala since the 1980s. He is a practicing physician in his owm surgery as well as lecturer and researcher at the Medical University of Vienna. Otto is a married Shambhala householder and has two daughters.
