Dear friends of Dorje Khyung Dzong Shambhala Retreat Center,
We are looking for the next directors to care for this unique solitary meditation retreat center.
For over fifty years, meditators have come to know Dorje Khyung Dzong (Indestructible Garuda Fortress) as an ideal place for solitary meditation retreat. DKD is secluded on 400 acres of mountain forest on the slopes of Greenhorn Mountain in southern Colorado. Seven secluded cabins provide the quiet and privacy of a solitary retreat for those who seek to deepen their meditation practice within the magic of the natural world.
This is a unique opportunity to live in a rural setting in Colorado, out of the fray of urban bustle, and support meditators in solitary retreat. And it is a wonderful opportunity to manage 400 acres of natural land.
-Must apply as a couple, with a commitment to working together.
-Have a Buddhist meditation practice and interest in the Shambhala teachings.
-Be physically able to handle the rigors of country living.
-One person needs to have basic mechanical skills.
