When we truly create the time and space to dive fully into meditation practice, we begin to glimpse that goodness – rather than confusion – is the unconditional foundation of our existence. Opening to ourselves with gentleness and appreciation, we begin to see our potential as genuinely kind and compassionate human beings.
Meditation practice helps us examine our states of mind without trying to change them. This practice encourages openness to oneself and what’s around us. Our old habits and patterns become more transparent, leaving room for a more direct appreciation of situations. This transforms the way we see our life and our world.
The Path of Meditation, The Art of Being Human is the first in the Shambhala Training series. This is a path open to anyone seeking to develop gentleness and strength through meditation. Shambhala Training is a series of contemplative workshops that have proven valuable to beginning and experienced meditators alike. The simple and profound techniques of mindfulness-awareness meditation can benefit people of any spiritual tradition and way of life.

Generosity Policy
In order to make our programs accessible to everyone, we have a “pay what you can afford” policy. If the program price is an obstacle for you, please decide what works for you and offer whatever you can. At times, a minimum is set and if that is still an obstacle, please email us ([email protected]). We will never turn you away because of financial issues.
Our programs are listed with a base donation amount. These program donations help us pay rent and utilities, and allow us to offer honorariums to our teachers and pay travel expenses for them. Program donations are our only source of income outside of Center member donations.
For those who can offer more than the program price, we have a “patron price”. Your generosity in offering the patron price helps cover the costs for others who are not able to pay the full price.
