This gathering is an opportunity for families and friends to enjoy the pleasures of summer together.
The celebration will begin at 4:30 p.m., in the Center garden, with a lhasang (traditional offering of juniper smoke) which purifies the environment and invokes awakened energy.
Then, we will gather in the meditation room to pay tribute to Francesca Dalio and Jim Wagner who are leaving for a one-year monastic retreat at Gampo Abbey to thank them for their dedication to our Center. A simple but affectionate celebration, with toasts and spontaneous personal sharing.
Then meet at 5:30 p.m. at Laurier Park, near the park fountain, located between the large building in the center of the Park and Laurier Street. We will meditate in the open air, and we will enjoy the new season with all kinds of games. Bring what you have for this. Also songs, music, dance. Life is ours, yours.
This will be enhanced by a potluck picnic on site (or back at the Center depending on the weather).
Looking forward to celebrating the longest and most luminous day of the year together!
