This year, we are combining our Midsummer’s Day celebration with a pot luck and an opportunity to meet our guest, Ethan Nichtern.
*Please note: the day and time have been changed back and forth! We are now going back to the original time: July 1st, 6:00-8:00 PM.
We celebrate Midsummer’s Day to honor the warmth, joy, and connection that the longest day of the year brings. It is a time for community members to come together in celebration of the natural world and the enlightened society we aspire to create.
The pot luck will be on July 1st from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. We invite you to join us the next day, July 2nd, 7:00 pm, at Powell’s Books for a captivating talk by Ethan Nichtern and Derek Beres. (To accommodate that special event, we will be canceling our usual Tuesday night meditation session on July 2nd. We look forward to seeing you at Ethan’s book talk!)
Potluck Details:
What to Bring: Your favorite dish to share with the community
Location: Community member’s home in Southeast Portland (Address provided upon registration)
Special Guest:
Ethan Nichtern will be joining us for the potluck. He is in town for his event at Powell’s City of Books on July 2nd, where he will be in conversation with Derek Beres about his new book, Confidence: Holding Your Seat Through Life’s Eight Worldly Winds. This pot luck is a wonderful opportunity to meet and interact with Ethan in a more intimate setting before his public talk.
RSVP is required to attend the potluck. This ensures we can provide you with the address for the event and manage the number of attendees effectively.
Please RSVP below to receive the address for the pot luck.
We look forward to celebrating with you and sharing an evening of great food, conversation, and community!
