Mahamudra and Ordinary Mind

This program has requirements.

Shambhala Los Angeles is delighted to welcome Venerable Tulku Damchö Rinpoche!

Tulku Damchö Rinpoche will present teachings on Mahamudra and Ordinary Mind for the Shambhala Vajrayana sangha. After the teachings, there will be a blessing line.

Tulku Damchö Rinpoche (b. 1973) has lived a life suffused by Dharma, immersed in the activities of Thrangu Monastery and its global work. From an early age he wished to receive monastic vows, and aspired to be a monk at Thrangu Tashi Choling, in Bodnath, Nepal. Even though he was very small at the time and was refused admission, he would not leave until Thrangu Rinpoche decided to take him. While at the monastery, Thrangu Rinpoche found his behavior and his studies were unlike other monks. He has special characteristics as a dharma practitioner, scholar and teacher. He is famous among the Thrangu community for being an expert on sadhanas (spiritual practices).  His Eminence T’ai Situ, Rinpoche recognized him as a reincarnation of Lama Tsoknyi, an important teacher of the Kagyu tradition. Tulku Damchö completed the traditional 3 year retreat as well as an additional year of Kalachakra retreat in 2007.

This talk is restricted to Shambhala Members and Friends who have received pointing out instruction from Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, The Vajra Regent, Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche or the Dorje Loppon.
