Coffee Dhyana: Cultivating Mindfulness – One Sip At A Time

Time: Sunday, July 7,  2-4 pm (doors open at 1:40 pm)

 

Join us for a unique experience combining authentic Buddhist meditation with the simple pleasure of enjoying a good cup of coffee (or, of course, any of your selected non-alcoholic beverages!) Learn to transform your daily ☕ / ???? / ???? ritual into a contemplative practice that helps you become more aware and awake, and not just from the caffeine! 

 

This is what you can expect:

  • Welcome and introductions
  • ⁠Guided coffee dhyana practice
  • ⁠Reflection & questions
  • ⁠Group sharing

 

Coffee and tea will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you wish! All levels of meditation experience are welcome.

 

Notes:

  • No registration is required for this event. You are welcome to invite your friends (not Buddhists? It doesn’t matter!) to join us!
  • There will be a large music event taking place at Jonathan Rogers Park near the Shambhala Centre on the day of the event. Several roads will be closed. We recommend that you take public transportation to the center or allow enough time to find a parking space.
