Love is a mutual dance that takes place, and even if you step on each other’s toes during the dance, it is not regarded as problematic or an insult.
– Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche
Do you want to learn more about the Buddha’s teachings on love and loving kindness? Do you want to study Buddhism and read a “sutra” (ancient text of teachings taught by the Buddha) in community? In this session, we will explore the Buddha’s teachings in the “Metta Sutra,” which is about love as a time-tested path to awakening and genuine compassion.
Note: The instructors will screen share the Metta Sutra. We will not be chanting the sutra–reading only
Love is a Mutual Dance by Chögyam Trungpa – The Bodhisattva Path of Wisdom and Compassion, Volume II of The Profound Treasury of Dharma, excerpted from pages 97 and 98.
