Buddha said, “Mind has no mind; the nature of mind is luminous.” To truly see that the awakening that liberates us from all the shackles of samsara has always been with us, is quite possibly one of the most incredible discoveries of all time. As a matter of fact, it can neither be found nor generated. Rather, it can only be experienced inherently. There are no other methods which reveal this true self to us but the path of the bodhisattva.
During this weekend, we will delve deeply into the very fabric, the building blocks of our consciousness, and address questions such as: What is buddha nature? How to experience it? How can we nurture our experience of it? What is Bodhicitta? Why must we have it to be fully awakened?
Do Tulku Rinpoche is the lama and Spiritual Director of
Arya Tara’s Net, an online community and center for Buddhist studies based in Windeck, Germany. Recognized as the reincarnation of the 5th Raktrul Rinpoche, he received an eleven year training in Buddhist philosophy, practice and debate at Dzongsar Khyentse Chokyi Lodro Institute in Bir, India. Since then he has been teaching in India, Nepal, Europe, the United States, and South America. Rinpoche has received teachings, transmissions, and initiations from some of the greatest masters of our time, including H.H. Dalai Lama, H.H. Sakya Trizin, Khenchen Kunga Wangchuk, Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche, Dagchen Rinpoche, Luding Khenchen Rinpoche, and many more.
Rinpoche worked with the 84000 translation project for several years as a translator and Himalayan expert, and is currently working with the Khyentse Vision Project as the traditional scholar expert. One of his main activities is the Bodhisattva Project, an online study program with participants from around the world. He is appreciated for his learned, interactive, humorous and often unconventional way of communicating Buddhist teachings.
