As part of our post-meditation and discussion experience – every 4th Tuesday we are including a “Poetry Pocket”. Poetry and meditation are kindred ventures – both bring us closer to the present, to what is happening now. Both help freshen our outlook, perhaps freshen our lives.
This months theme will be poetry inspired by the Autumn season.
If so moved, have ready a poem of your own or one that speaks to you. We will read a few aloud and then have a brief discussion (focusing – not on whether we like them or not, but more with an eye to how/if they help us awaken!) If poetry is “not your thing”, of course you can sign-off or just listen in to what others are sharing.
We encourage attendees to bring a poem to share with the group.
If you have a poem in mind in advance, and it’s convenient, you may also zap it to Robert Lovitt ([email protected]) and he will try to display it on our screens as it is being read aloud. Ours is a linage of poets and poetry, let’s get soaked in a warm rain of poetic wisdom (and/or just have some darn fun with it!).
