Sing from the Heart (Sutra)

The Sūtra of the Heart of Transcendent Knowledge contains the most profound teachings of the Buddha, and it is the most universal chant among all schools and lineages of Buddhism. Traditionally, the Sutra is chanted monosyllabically at a brisk pace, with drum accompaniment. The result is powerful. SMCD’s Teaching Circle would like to include the Sūtra among our opening chants monthly on a Sunday morning.

Training will be offered for anyone who might like to be an Umdze (chant leader) or Drummer for the Sūtra.  Whether you have Umdze experience or not, you are welcome to attend the training.
