For our end-of-year retreat, we invite you to come create, dream and replenish yourself through contemplative Miksang photography, contemplative writing and creativity.
During this retreat, we will explore and nourish this inner confidence which allows us to disover the treasures of ressources hidden within us, as well as new approaches that are more supportive of ourselves.
It will also be a chance to nourish a friendly, benevolent view of ourselves in order to move towards choices that can support us in this new year.
Contemplative photography, or Miksang, is a type of meditation in action.
Using photography in a contemplative way allows us to open up to what the universe offers us in terms of beauty, poetry and natural magic. The starting points of this practice are our gaze, light, colour, shapes and space. The practice of Miksang contemplative photography is ideal for anyone who wants to connect the practice of photography with meditation.
Contemplative writing is also a way of practicing meditation in action, as it is a path of discovery and listening that allows us to align ourselves with our heart and all our senses. There is no need to feel comfortable with writing, as this is primarily a journey towards the self.
Connecting writing with colours and collage allows us to connect the body, sensory input, emotions and the inner child to guide us through an exploration which is both joyous and profound.
No prior experience with photography, writing or meditation is required for this retreat.
It is open to anyone wishing to extend a moment of gentleness and welcoming to one’s self.
Even the camera on your mobile phone can be used for this practice. It is also appropriate for photographers of all levels of experience.
