St. Margarets Bay Shambhala Centre is most delighted to offer a NEW! 5-week Wednesday evenings (October 9- November 6) Book Study Group.
It will focus on the book Why We Meditate: The Science and Practice of Clarity and Compassion, by Daniel Goleman (author of Emotional Intelligence) and Tsoknyi Rinpoche (well-known and renowned Tibetan Meditation Master).
The group leaders will be Irene Lorch-Wauchope and Bruce Wauchope.
From the book: “There’s only so much we can do to eradicate the chaos and hardships that wash over us, but we can work on the state of mind with which we face them…With accessible and eye’opening advice based on Tibetan tradition and groundbreaking neurocience, this guidebook empowers you to break free from negative patterns of thought and behaviour and radically embody your very being.”
The group study will be offered at St. Margarets Bay Shambhala Centre, with a “Zoom option” for those who cannot make it to the Centre.
We will offer this if there are enough people who are interested….PLEASE LET US KNOW YOUR INTEREST IN PARTICIPATING SO WE CAN MOVE FORWARD: CONTACT THERESA at [email protected]
There is no cost to the program, except we would like all participants to procure the book, for best discussion during the class. It is a book you can definitely go back to time after time.
Please do not wear scented personal care products to the Centre. There is a medical service dog working in the community. Please 100% ignore the service dog for the safety and independence of the owner. Masks are not required but are welcomed at the Centre.
