In these challenging days, the practical wisdom of meditation can help us show up for our daily lives with more kindness and curiosity. Numerous studies show the benefits of meditation: reduce stress, improve emotional health, lengthen attention span, and more. Many people report that meditation helps them cultivate happiness, kindness, and love.
Are you new to meditation or interested in a refresher? Take some dedicated time to learn meditation essentials, ask questions, and leave with the tools to practice on your own. The workshop is three hours with a break in the middle.
Location: Seattle Shambhala Center, 3107 E Harrison St, Seattle.
Rick Meyers has been a long time Shambhala and Buddhist practitioner. He has been trained as a meditation instructor and has introduced the practice of meditation to a number of individuals and groups over the past 25 years. Since his retirement from a 30 year career as a speech pathologist, he has pursued his interest in boating and furthering his spiritual journey.
