Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, an authentic master of the Kagyu Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism, and the founder of Shambhala, had a particular gift in presenting the Dharma to western audiences. Between the years, 1973 and 1986, Rinpoche gave teachings to his most senior students as part of the famous three month retreats called Vajradhatu Seminary. Topics included the four noble truths, karma, the four foundations of mindfulness, refuge vows, meditation, and more.
For five Wednesday evenings, we will be presenting and exploring Rinpoche’s distinctive style of meditation instruction. We will read from the transcribed recordings, practice meditation, and discuss his unique teachings.
Participants are encouraged to attend all five classes, but may attend as many classes as they wish.
These classes will be presented by Donald Eckler, a student of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, who attended Vajradhatu Seminary in 1983.
