This course is open to all. If you need financial assistance, reach out to Mary Beth Minton at [email protected].
In this four-week, online course, we will explore the rich tradition of Buddhist psychology, focusing on how to skillfully work with emotions and uncover moments of wisdom within everyday life. Through teachings, guided meditations, and reflective practices, you will learn how to meet challenging emotions with compassion and clarity, while cultivating the insight and wisdom that naturally arise when we engage mindfully with our inner experience. Whether you’re new to Buddhist teachings or seeking to deepen your understanding, this course will provide practical tools for emotional resilience and insight into the nature of mind.
We will study the “ground of sanity” as reflected in the Five Buddha Families, which offer insight into our inherent wisdom, and examine the neurotic patterns of mind through the Six Realms. You will also engage with key concepts such as ego, projection, and how to ground these teachings in meditation and in working with neurotic tendencies in daily life.
Each week, you will gain tools to bring clarity and compassion to challenging emotions while recognizing moments of clear seeing—glimpses of wisdom—that help you break free from habitual patterns. This course offers practical approaches to emotional resilience, grounded wisdom, and transformative self-awareness.
