Shambhala Sunday Gathering—Mindful Eating for Stressful Holidays

Sunday Gatheringsare LIVE every week at 3:00 p.m. ET

Donations are welcome!

Whatever challenges you face eating mindfully—Whether it’s the abundance of irresistible food, the social pressure to eat foods you’d rather avoid, or the overwhelming feelings that make you turn to food to cope—Learn how EFT Tapping can help settle your nervous system so you can feel proud of how you handled the holidays come January 1.

If holiday time brings up old wounds, heartache, or unmet expectations, and you’re using food to cope, this session with mindful eating mentor Marcella Friel will give you the tools you need to face these feelings compassionately and honor the season on your own terms.

You’ll receive journal prompts to help you uncover the real sources of your holiday distress through thoughtful self-inquiry. Marcella will then lead you in the practice of EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques, or Tapping) to help you transform and reframe your negative food behaviors. Finally, you’ll create a holiday self-care plan that allows you to celebrate the holidays authentically and reclaim the sacredness of the season.

Known for her playful humor, uncanny insight, and deep kindness, Marcella draws on nearly four decades of Buddhist meditation practice plus 30 years of 12-Step recovery to help women reclaim their soul from restrictive dieting and love the woman they see in the mirror, no matter what the number on the scale.
