Earn your wings by joining us for a live dramatic reading of “It’s a Wonderful Life”, featuring the Atlanta Shambhala Players.
Our script is adapated from the movie and introduces us to George Bailey, a man who gave up his personal dreams to help others. His thoughts of suicide on Christmas Eve bring about the intervention of his guardian angel, Clarence Odbody. Clarence shows George what the world would have been like if he had never been born.
The theatrical reading will last about one hour. Afterwards we will enjoy food, drink, conversation, and a brilliantly entertaining fun-raiser.
We will give everyone the opportunity to practice their personal generosity by making a gift to support the Atlanta Shambhala Center as we continue to build community, and share the teachings and practices of fundamental goodness, all while keeping the heat running and the lights on!
We will also be collecting non-perishable food items to be donated to the Atlanta Food Bank. Bring a can or two.
If you would like to donate in advance, click here. We look forward to seeing you!
