Peter Conradi

Shastri Peter Conradi first encountered the Dharma as an Exchange Professor at U of C (Boulder) in 1978-80. He likes Dathuns and retreats and has led many in DCL, Poland and Wales; while teaching at the Jagiellonian University, Krakow, Poland in 1990-2 he helped start Eastern Europe’s first ST levels. He was Head at English at Kingston University, UK. and took early retirement to write full-time in 1997. He published Iris Murdoch: A Life (2001), Going Buddhist (2004), At the Bright Hem of God (2009) and A Very English Hero: the Making of Frank Thompson (2012). He was elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in 2012; and appointed a Shastri for London, UK In 2010.
