Bystander Intervention Training
March 9 / 10:00 AM - March 9 / 12:00 PM
At the Boston Shambhala Center, we remain committed to teaching and practicing meditation, and to work together as a community towards collective liberation. We aspire to create a supportive and healing environment for those who come seeking to ease their suffering. We are working on training our community to better recognize and undo the causes of all kinds of suffering, and to move towards a culture of even more safety, equity and respect.
Prevent sexual violence before it happens. Discussion and activities use an evidence-based approach to address why some people do or do not feel comfortable intervening. Participants will leave with concrete tools and interventions they can use every day.
This program will be run by experienced facilitators from the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center, a local organization who have been working to end sexual violence through healing and social change.
This program is open to anyone interested. There is a thirty person maximum, so please register here to join. We are requesting an optional donation to help cover the costs of this program.
