Brunswick Portland Sangha - Community Meeting in Brunswick

January 13 / 9:30 AM - January 13 / 12:30 PM

Save the date and time

Date: January 13th, 2019

Community members will gather at the Brunswick Center on Sunday, January 13th from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm to engage in an open dialogue about the varied and sensitive issues our community is feeling and facing.  We would like to take this time of uncertainty, impermanence and unavoidable change, to explore what’s happening right here and now, within our own sangha and community.

There are many complicated circumstances playing out at the international level. Circumstances that are beyond our control and yet will undeniably affect our future.

For now, we believe that our time is well spent calling on the warriorship and goodness in our local community; to take a difficult but honest look within ourselves and see where we are succeeding and where we are missing the mark.

We ask that participants come to the meeting prepared to speak to the following questions:

  1. What are the current questions, issues and/or challenges you are personally grappling with?

  2. How do you feel we are working together as a community?

  3. What about our local sangha is working?  What areas could be better?

The morning agenda will roughly look like:

9:30-10            Coffee/Tea

10:00-10:15:    Sitting practice

10:15-12:15:    Discussion
