Meditation in Everyday Life

This course presents introductory teachings and tools for working with meditation in everyday life. With simple instructions and support, mindfulness meditation practice helps us discover greater stability, strength and clarity. We can improve the quality of our daily life and deepen our experience through the practice of meditation.
This is not a course in the conventional sense and you will not be tested at any point. It is an invitation to explore these teachings personally and experientially and to inquire into their truths.
Please plan to attend all five evenings. The first and last classes are especially important.
This course is open to all - there are no prerequisites. It is designed to complement Shambhala Training Level I: The Art of Being Human (offered Fall 2019 at SMCD on the weekends of Sept 27th and Dec 6th) or may be taken on its own.
The Way of Shambhala series provides a strong foundation in mindfulness-awareness meditation and is composed of Shambhala Training Levels I-V, each followed by a five-week course. This series is designed to be applied to the complexity of our daily lives, and to develop courage and sanity in these troubled times of uncertainty.
