Social Engagement Meeting

with Ellen Hollyday
March 16 / 3:00 PM - March 16 / 5:00 PM

Dear Sangha,

I would like to gather any and all that are interested in participating in social engagement activities at our Shambhala center. I have been wanting to get more involved, and now, in the midst of the chaos in our country and the upheaval/change/reform in our larger mandala, I feel compelled to  step up our involvement in our world. With the support of others, I think I will be more likely to follow through on my concerns!

I am interested in diversity and anti-racism work, but maybe your interest is climate change, immigration issues, criminal justice reform, reproductive health or...? Yikes, there is so much need.

Let’s gather and see what rises up. I am collecting resources locally, sangha-wide, and via the internet. Maybe we will choose to connect with other sanghas or faith traditions…? Please bring your ideas and energy for how the White River Shambhala community can engage in social justice work.

I am setting a meeting for Saturday, March 16, at 3pm at our center.

Please come if this is of interest. You may contact me with questions in advance, of course

Yours in the Vision of the Great Eastern Sun

Bear Hollyday
