Shambhala Training Level IV: Awakened Heart
with Acharya Emily Bower
April 6th / 8:30am-6pm & April 7th/ 8:30am-6pm
33 Saxon Street, Brunswick
In Shambhala Training IV, we learn how to open our hearts so we can communicate more fully with the world. Rather than using our experiences as an occasion to regenerate habitual patterns, we can use them as reminders to further wake up. When we allow ourselves to meet the world without hope and fear, we find a resource of energy and steadiness. With trust in basic goodness and daring to experience the sharp edge of reality, we move forward with gentleness, increased awareness, and inquisitiveness about the world as it is.
With the guidance of Acharya Emily Bower, you will learn a meditation practice that builds upon the technique learned in Shambhala Training Level III. The weekend provides students with a means not to only raise their gaze but to do so with an awakened heart, both on and off the cushion.
Shambhala Training Level III.
The course operates all day Saturday and Sunday, from 8.30am to 6pm both days.
The cost of the weekend Level IV is 0 full price, and 0 concession. Payment plans are available for people who need them; please contact Jeff. Students who are repeating pay half-price.
Tea, coffee and snacks are provided. Participants are requested to bring their own lunch both days, or shop nearby the venue.
