Simplicity Retreat (weekthün)

with Benoît Côté
August 5 / 9:00 AM - August 5 / 7:00 PM

This one-week retreat is a precious occasion to enter deeply into the practice of meditation. It is open to beginners as well as experienced meditators. It is an essential element for those who are journeying through the Way of Shambhala programs (a weekthün is a prerequisite for some programs).

We will introduce Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche’s instructions on Shambhala Meditation, the practice of connecting directly with basic goodness as the ground for any meditation practice as well as everyday life. The retreat will for the most part be in silence, except for teaching and discussion periods.

Partial attendance is possible if you start from the beginning (on Sunday). One cannot enter once the retreat has started or skip days. Since space is limited, priority will be given to full-time participants.

Schedule: 9AM-7PM

Sitting and walking meditation, teachings, contemplation, exercises and physical activities.

Lunch meals as well as afternoon teas and snacks are included in the price. Please mention any food allergies or intolerances when you register.

The teachings will be offered in French with English translation available. Please let the contact person know if you will be using our translation services.

REGISTRATION MANDATORY for planning the retreat and meals.

To help facilitate the planning of the program, please register at least a week in advance.
