Full Day Nyinthun of Meditation and Contemplation on the Paramita of Discipline with video talk by Acharya Emily Bower

Dear Friends,


Please join us for this all-day meditation and contemplation on the Paramita of Discipline, one of the six transcendent actions of a BodhisattvaThis paramita teaches the role of discipline in developing loving kindness and compassion.  On this day we will bring together the three Buddhist principles of hearing, contemplating and meditating as a complete path of opening heart and mind.  The morning session (9AM till 12) will include dharma readings on paramita practice along with our usual nyinthun chants, sitting and walking meditation. Meditation instruction will be offered throughout the morning for those requesting it.


In the afternoon session (1:30 till 5PM) we will view a video talk by Acharya Emily Bower taken from a new series of talks by Shambhala senior teachers on compassionate action which are now being offered in this series of full-day nyinthuns. The talk will be followed by group discussion and meditations lead by Diana Evans. 


The day also includes lunch and tea breaks. One may bring their own lunch or go out to one of the nearby restaurants. We look forward to sharing the rich tradition of Paramita practice with you.
