September 21 / 10:00 AM - September 21 / 3:00 PM
Dear Tucson Shambhala,
On June 9, 2019 we held a community meeting to look ahead and re-imagine what Tucson Shambhala might look like after our community was thrown into crisis. At that meeting, our Shastri, Kim Kelso, appointed a Transition Task Force. After much work, the Task Force has begun to identify an approach that we believe will help us work together toward positive change, collaboration, co-creation and empowerment.
It is in this spirit that we extend an invitation for the community to join us in an exploration of the future of Tucson Shambhala on Saturday, September 21 from 10 am to 3 pm. (This is a change from a previous time frame of 11-2) Our new extended meeting will allow for more conversation and ideas and a Harvest of Peace celebration potluck lunch.
We will report out to the Sangha on our progress in designing an inclusive and engaging governance structure and outline a suggested plan for moving into our next chapter. Please join in the conversation, learn what we have been up to and make your thoughts known. We are excited by our accomplishments and want to share our work with you.
Please RSVP to [email protected]and let us know you will be attending. We look forward to seeing you!
The Transition Task Force
