Social Meditation for Teens
with Nick Kranz & Alexandra Vlasic
September 29 / 1:00 PM - September 29 / 4:00 PM
Social Meditation turns social interaction into a meditation practice. As human beings, we’re wired for social interaction. Social Meditation utilizes this innate connectedness to strengthen our ability to remain in the present moment.
Come gather with your peers, as we explore meditation practice and how to bring that into our every day lives and communication.
As a group we will explore what are the specific challenges facing us as young people, and how can we use our connection with meditation to grow our resilience and compassion.
Open to all teens, whether completely new to meditation or experienced with it.
NOTE: This program is open to all teens, however when registering, you will be asked if you are 16. Those under 16 will have to have a parent or guardian register for them.
Payment is due on the day of the event in either cash or check form. We do not have the ability accept credit cards.
Our retreat will be co-led by Nick Kranz
who is an experienced and dynamic meditation teacher with a passion for sharing authentic wisdom. He’s interested in social innovation, cultural transformation, and collaborative business that positively impacts society. Nick developed the practice of social meditation
, which is practiced around the globe. He has trained hundreds of young leaders using this form of practice.
Alex Vlasic will also co-lead this program. She has been practicing meditation and studying dharma within the Shambhala Buddhist lineage for 8 years. She is a facilitator, writer, Shambhala teacher, and assistant teacher to the UnTraining White Liberal Racism program. She also serves as co-facilitator for Shambhala's White Awareness Council.
