Shambhala Training Level I: The Art of Being Human
with Bill Brauer
December 6 / 6:30 PM - December 7 / 6:30 PM
Shambhala Level 1 training introduces meditation, and working with our thoughts and emotions in the context of everyday life. This program is based on the idea that the practice of meditation can help people of all walks of life and followers of any spiritual tradition become more present in their own lives, and more compassionate and courageous with the world around them.
In addition to meditation, Level I focuses on connecting with basic openness and goodness in the world and in ourselves — and being curious about what blocks it.
The program includes meditation instruction, practice, talks and discussion. Everyone is welcome!
Lunch will be provided on Saturday, as well as a light reception at the conclusion of the program on Saturday evening.
Please register by December 1 to reserve your seat.
The Art of Being Human is part of the Way of Shambhala, an extensive path of training in authentic meditation practices and wisdom teachings. This path offers an experiential overview of practices, teachings, contemplative arts, and physical disciplines rooted in the ancient traditions of Shambhala and Vajrayana Buddhism.
The path is open to people of all religious backgrounds or no religious background. It is recommended for new and experienced meditators as well as those looking to enrich their personal spiritual path and social action.
