with Marilyn Moore
April 18 / 9:30 AM - April 18 / 12:00 PM

"Although there are many ways that we can approach tonglen, the essence of the practice is always the same. We breathe in what is painful and unwanted with the sincere wish that we and others could be free of suffering. As we do so, we drop the story line that goes along with the pain and feel the underlying energy. We completely open our hearts and minds to whatever arises. Exhaling, we send out relief from the pain with the intention that we and others be happy.”

Excerpt From: Pema Chödrön. “The Places That Scare You.”

On Sunday, April 18, from 9:30 am - 12 pm, Tucson Shambhala will host an online class on the practice of Tonglen. It will be taught by Shastri Marilyn Moore from Los Angeles Shambhala. We have survived this challenging year of Covid and we could not have done it without your support. This is our way of saying thank you. There will be no registration fee. Please join us.

Over the years, we've heard from many of you about your Tonglen practice. And from others, there is a curiosity about it. Marilyn has a robust Tonglen practice and we thought perhaps she could offer her wisdom, answer your questions and help us, as a sangha, deepen and strengthen our practice. She will lay the foundation for Tonglen and offer tips and guidance for making it our own. There will be plenty of time for Q and A as well as to share our experience.

After you register, you will receive a ZOOM link to the study group. If you don't see it in your email, please check your spam folder.
