Taking Conduct to Heart: Seattle Code of Conduct Overview [Online]
May 16 / 3:00 PM - May 16 / 5:00 PM
The updated Shambhala Code of Conduct is an opportunity for each of us to practice the dharma we study and the view of Enlightened Society that we aspire toward. It is our chance to show that we care for each other and for our individual and collective progress along the path.
The updated Code applies to everyone present in any activity associated with Shambhala, in person or online, regardless of where the activity occurs. We invite all members, friends, and others who identify as part of the Shambhala community to join us as we reflect on how we can support each other in deepening our practice as a sangha, go through an overview of the components of the Code, and learn about our local process for addressing concerns or complaints should they arise.
Please join us one or both of the following dates:
Sunday, May 16th: 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Thursday, May 27th: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
In preparation, we encourage participants to review this Introduction from the Shambhala Board of Directors and to read the components of the Code at the Shambhala Code of Conduct Hub site: https://code-of-conduct.shambhala.org/.
We also invite local members to visit the Seattle Code of Conduct page, which we will update periodically with relevant local updates and perspectives: https://seattle.shambhala.org/2021/04/29/seattle-shambhala-implements-new-code-of-conduct/
