In this troubled world, how can we connect with our heart and not be overwhelmed? It takes bravery and a strong intention to cultivate compassion for others rather than meeting difficulty with aggression or turning away. What is the impact on others when we can be simply present regardless of the circumstances?
The Power of Presence with Others: The Bravery to be Kind
Join us for the second in a series of four Saturday morning programs we are presenting in 2024 with senior Shambhala teacher Eve Rosenthal; who led our 2023 Summer Meditation Retreat: Cultivating Confidence in a World of Doubt.
These four programs explore aspects of the Power of Presence — being present has an impact and power beyond the moment. Each session will explore a different aspect of presence, supported by meditation, споглядання, discussion and movement. Everyone is welcome.
Attendance options
Eve will teach this program online via Zoom. The program will be recorded and a link sent out to registrants post-program.

Our teacher, Єва Розенталь
Eve’s journey with the dharma began in 1973, and she met Chögyam Trungpa that same year. Originally from New York City, she was Resident Director of Shambhala Training there in the 1980s and began teaching Shambhala Training and Buddhadharma at that time. Eve moved to Halifax, Нова Шотландія в 1990, and began to teach and lead a wide range of Shambhala and Buddhist programs in North America, Європа, and South America. She was an acharya (старший викладач) in the Shambhala community from 2005-2020.
She holds a doctorate in Computer Science and had a career teaching information technology and as a systems analyst for international financial institutions. Combining her technology skills and her aspiration to make dharma more accessible and connect our global community, Eve founded Шамбала онлайн in 2006. A longtime practitioner and teacher of T’ai Chi, she also enjoys playing the piano. Eve lives in Nova Scotia, Canada with her spouse, Basia Solarz.
