Many of us work very hard to get rid of sadness and hold onto joy. Bij meditatie, Echter, we practice meeting all of our experience without bias or struggle in an atmosphere of gentleness. As we do that, we begin to discover that sadness and joy are intertwined and that, taken together, they constitute a powerful and rich expression of our natural wakefulness.
This three-hour mini-retreat will include a brief reflection on the title theme, guided meditation instruction, periods of sitting and walking meditation, the contemplative practice of aimless wandering, and a period of group discussion at the end.
