Weekend One is the first of three training sessions for those interested in sharing the practice of meditation with others. These programs are designed to cultivate the understanding and skills to assist others along their meditation path. This series can be taken as continuing education for already authorized Meditation Instructors, and can serve as initial training for people who are practicing meditation and are interested in developing as Meditation Instructors.

Sobre os professores:
Dale Asrael tem sido um praticante de meditação, budismo, e os ensinamentos de Shambhala há mais de 45 anos. She became a student of Chögyam Trungpa, Rinpoche em 1973 e, depois de sua morte, continued to study with other teachers of Tibetan Buddhism. She also trained with the Zen teacher Charlotte Joko Beck during the last twelve years of her life.
Dale ensina programas de dharma e lidera retiros de meditação internacionalmente, and served as an Acharya (professor sênior) for twenty years. She is an authorized teacher of traditional Daoist qigong in the Xiantianwujimen lineage of Eva Wong.
Dale é professor na Universidade de Naropa, onde ela fundou e é professora principal do Naropa University Mindfulness Instructor Training, que acaba de completar o seu vigésimo ciclo anual de programas de formação.

Gaylon Ferguson, Doutorado., liderou retiros de meditação em grupo desde 1976. Ele ensinou em Stanford, a Universidade de Washington, e Universidade Naropa, onde foi membro do corpo docente principal por quinze anos. Autor de dois livros, Vigília Natural (sobre os quatro fundamentos da atenção plena) eBravura Natural (sobre o medo e o destemor como caminho para manifestar coragem), seus artigos apareceram em Lion’s Roar, Triciclo, e revista Buddhadharma. Ele contribuiu com o prefácio da coleção pioneiraNegro e Budista: O que o budismo pode nos ensinar sobre raça, Resiliência, Transformação e Liberdade (Shambhala, 2020).
