This weekend retreat is being offered through Shambhala Online. We will participate as a group to watch the live-stream teachings — along with in-person practice, discussions and community at the Minneapolis Shambhala Center. The best of both worlds: an outstanding international teacher connected with Centers around the world, received in the community of our own Center!

Course Description

Trusting further in basic goodness and daring to experience the sharp edge of reality, we move forward with gentleness, increased awareness, and inquisitiveness about the world, as it is. We find that we can extend ourselves to others fully and with kindness.

Shambhala Training Level IV is the  fourth retreat in a progressive series of weekend retreats.  Shambhala Training Level III is a prerequisite.

The point of Shambhala Training is to get out of the cocoon, which is the shyness and aggression in which we have wrapped ourselves… A Shambhala warrior is someone who is brave enough not to give in to the aggression and contradictions that exist in society…who is able to step out of the cocoon–that very comfortable cocoon that he or she is trying to sleep in.
