Meditation in Everyday Life

The Meditation in Everyday Life course provides students with the introductory tools and teachings for working with meditation in our everyday life while working and managing our responsibilities and connections. With simple instructions and support, mindfulness meditation practice can become part of our lives, bringing great stability, strength and clarity. We experience what happens when we stop avoiding ourselves, and start simply being with whatever is going on in our lives. Through this course, students learn to cultivate courage and stability in the daily complexities of jobs, responsibilities, relationships, and the everyday desires, concerns and uncertainties we all face.

About the Way of Shambhala

The Way of Shambhala offers a structured path of meditation and study that is suitable for both beginning and experienced meditators alike. Open to people of any spiritual tradition, it provides a strong foundation in mindfulness-awareness meditation practice, wisdom teachings, and physical practices rooted in the ancient traditions of Shambhala and Tibetan Buddhism.

In the Way of Shambhala, participants are introduced to contemplative disciplines that make the journey experiential—-touching our emotions, our intelligence, our creativity, and the practical details of daily life in modern society. The programs are presented by experienced Shambhala teachers under the guidance of the Shambhala lineage-holder.

The instructor, Jamie Reinhardt, has been a meditation practitioner for over 25 years, and a (certified) meditation instructor since 2005. He has lived in Thailand for over 17 years, where he runs an export business selling meditation and yoga products. He’s married and has three sons. In his spare time he enjoys cycling, yoga, and dancing.
