Iris Ramos

Iris Ramos joined the Shambhala world in 1990. Initially intrigued and inspired by the teachings of Chögyam Trungpa, she entered the warrior’s world and pursued the teaching path. After various trainings and retreats, she was fully authorized to teach Shambhala Training (ie.The Heart of Warriorship and the Sacred Path programs) by 2000 . She actively trained and mentored Shambhala Meditation Instructors, teachers, and guides. Iris was authorized to teach the art of ikebana (Japanese Flower Arranging) and has been teaching classes since 2000. She has also taught numerous children’s and parents’ programs, including an Enlightened Society Assembly Children’s Program in Austin, Texas in 2019. Iris has also developed and taught programs on inclusivity and Shambhala Meditation. Following a break in teaching, she is currently resuming her availability as a teacher in the Shambhala community. Iris Ramos is an active member of the Austin Shambhala Meditation Center, and is currently residing in Wimberley, Texas.
