The Paramitas in Everyday Life with Basha Hirschfeld and Elizabeth Sheppard

Online Zoom Program • Presented by Tamalpais Shambhala

The word paramita means “going to the other shore,” beyond conventional, limited, selfish behavior. One could develop an open heart and approach to life which benefits oneself and others in the midst of groundlessness and uncertainty.

The Paramitas in Everyday Life
with Basha Hirschfeld and Elizabeth Sheppard

Dates: 8 Thursdays, April 18 to June 6
Time: 7:00 to 8:30 pm (Pacific Time)

Please note: this is an online only class.

Please join us as we view and discuss Pema Chodron’s teachings on the Six Paramitas  — Generosity, Discipline, Patience, Diligence, Meditative Concentration, and Wisdom.

We will investigate these values by listening to selections of Pema Chodron’s Yarne talks on each of the paramitas. There will be many opportunities to share in this experiential journey over 8 weeks, helping us to transform these Buddhist principles into practical action in our daily lives.

Pricing:

  • Regular: $120
