Milarepa Day Celebration
with Deborah Zarate
February 24 / 9:00 AM - February 24 / 4:00 PM
On Milarepa Day, we read from the Rain of Wisdom: Songs of the Kagyu Gurus, a translated collection of spontaneous poetry that expresses spiritual understanding – a form of poetry that has existed in Tibet for many centuries. With their vivid imagery and deep insight, these poems communicate in a very direct way, profound and timeless insight from some of Tibet's most respected Buddhist masters.
Please join us for any or all of the day's sessions, on Sunday, February 24, 9 am - 4:00 pm in the upstairs Shrine Room. There will be a one hour lunch break and tea will be available throughout the day. You are free to attend as much or as little of day as you need. This event is free and open to everyone. (However donations are always appreciated.)
If you have a copy of The Rain of Wisdom, please bring it with you! If you are a Shambhala member and interested in leading a portion of the Rain of Blessings, please let us know when you register.
