Bodhisattva Vow: Preparation for a Generous Life
with Dhi Good
April 8 / 6:30 PM - April 22 / 9:00 PM
This class is open to ALL who are interested in learning about the Mahayana Buddhist view.
This course is highly recommended if you are planning to take the Bodhisattva Vow at the Boulder Shambhala Center. Please sign up for the vows on April 28th HERE.
The Bodhisattva Vow, which is taken at least six months after the Refuge Vow, is a pronouncement that you will travel the path of putting others before yourself as you practice the Six Paramitas, transcendent ways of living that further awaken your inherent goodness. These are generosity, discipline, patience, exertion, meditation, and prajna and transcendent knowing.
After taking this vow, you will be given a name to mark the turning point you are taking by the preceptor.
The Bodhisattva Vow Sourcebook is recommended study material for this class.
